Yummy and Yucky!

We went to the library and found this wonderful Yummy and yucky book that tells kids good things to eat and avoid. Simple right? Well apparently we need to read it many more times together.

1. Eliza was helping me shell peanuts for our asian salad. She put the entire shell in her mouth, took a large bite out of it and started to chew. No big deal....but I decide it probably won't help her digestive system so I try to fish out the pieces. Finger goes into her mouth and she bites hard. OUCH! Looking in to those innocent eyes, I tell her not to bite. I need to get the 'yucky' out. Finger in the mouth again and she bites again:

Moral of the story: Don't stick your finger in kid's mouths!!! ( how could I forget my cpr training!? They never trained us for people who are awake.)

2. Eliza was helping Jordan take care of the hedgehogs. The cat food (that is their favorite food) got tipped over and Jordan asked Eliza to clean it up. He left, came back and she was daintily putting catfood into her mouth. She had done this for some time because the mouth was full and she was happily chomping.

Moral of the story: Feed Eliza breakfast before doing Hedgehogs and refer to moral number one for a solution.....I guess she would have to finish chewing. YUCKY!!!!!

Cat food? Well, at least you know she's adventurous! I think all my kids have sampled the dirt from our house plants and our youngest still like to put hair in his mouth and he'll be 4 in October! :)
